Title: Build a Sunroom? Select the Ideal Ceiling Design

1
Build a Sunroom? Select the Ideal Ceiling Design
More and more modern homeowners around the nation
are realizing the benefits of a sunroom addition
to their house. Sunrooms increase the usable area
in any home and produce a distinctive focal point
that the whole family may enjoy.
2
High Ceilings
Any space with a high ceiling instantly seems and
feels larger. Sunrooms do not stand out.
Cathedral or vaulted ceilings may be made of any
roofing material you want and may be solid,
partially opaque, or even transparent. They
provide the open, airy atmosphere that most
homeowners desire in their sunroom.
3
Glass soffits
Sunrooms frequently bring a small portion of the
outside into your house. Therefore, for many
homeowners, a glass ceiling is an important means
of achieving this objective. The area is more
brightly illuminated during the day, and you can
take in the beautiful sunsets and the starry
night skies. Use a transparent ceiling to make
the most of your propertys view if one of your
goals in building a sunroom is to benefit from it.

V-shaped Ceilings
Many sunroom styles are distinguished by having
curved exterior edges. With this approach, you
often have a flat ceiling that slopes down in a
curve to meet the far wall and is either clear to
the sky or opaque.
5
Eaves that are Straight
Sunrooms have many architectural aspects that are
intended to make them stand out in the
surroundings and along the exterior of the house.
But what if you prefer a room that adheres more
to the homes original architecture? Then a
ceiling with a straight eave (or one slope) is a
wise choice.
