Capitala statului Puebla, orasul Puebla de
Zaragoza este al patrulea ca marime în Mexic si
are 1.600.000 de locuitori. Centru puternic
industrializat, este asezat la o altitudine de
2165m si are un climat temperat, semiumed.
Orasul a fost fundat în anul 1531 ca resedinta
pentru o colectivitate hispanica si înca de la
crearea orasului s-a dorit ca el sa fie mai
frumos decât metropola. Centrul orasului a fost
declarat patrimoniu universal UNESCO la data de
11 decembrie 1987
Puebla (known in colonial times as Puebla de los
Ángeles), is the seat of Puebla Municipality, the
capital and largest city of the state of Puebla.
The city was founded in 1531 in an area called
Cuetlaxcoapan, which means "where serpents change
their skin", in between of two of the main
indigenous settlements at the time, Tlaxcala and C
holula. Due to its history and architectural
styles ranging from Renaissance to
Mexican Baroque, the city was named a World
Heritage Site in 1987. The city is also famous
for mole poblano, chiles en nogada and Talavera
pottery. However, most of its economy is based on
industry

The Jesuit Church in Puebla was edified towards
the latter part of the 16th century when the
Jesuits arrived to the city and established five
schools for the teaching of Spaniards and
Indigenous. The temple is one of the most
important of Mexico, due to the fact that there
are only two Jesuit temples that were built in
the 18th century, and of this great magnitude
