Uddhav Thackeray is a well-known figure in
Maharashtra politics and is the national
president of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb
Thackeray) party. Since 2002, Uddhav has been
involved in Maharashtra politics. Uddhav
Thackeray was a journalist for the Marathi weekly
Dainik Hindu before going into politics.
Although Uddhav inherited his father Bala Sahebs
political acumen, he defeated Shiv Sena in the
year 2002 BMC elections by working hard. It gave
him an amazing victory. By following this, he
was put forward for the partys working president
nomination in 2003. From 2019 through 2022,
Uddhav served as Maharashtras chief minister as
well. The genuine Shiv Sena comprising Uddhav
and Shinde, was split into the two factions by
following the partys dissolution. Uddhav
Thackeray's Primary Education Uddhav Thackerays
primary education was from Mumbais Balmohan
Vidyamandir and completed his degree at the Sir
Jamsetji Jeejeebhoy School of Artemis College.

experience as a photographer. Uddhav entered
politics at his familys request and went on to
become the Maharastras 19th Chief
Minister. Married life of Uddhav Thackeray In
1989, Uddhav and Rashmi Thackeray tied the knot.
Rashmi Thackeray is a well-known Maharashtrian
businesswoman. Although it is stated that Uddhav
Thackeray did not wish to get into politics, his
father Bal Thackeray created the Shiv Sena.
Rashmi Thackeray, Uddhavs wife, insisted that he
enter politics. Rashmi is fully aware of the
Shiv Sena, her party, and many party leaders view
her as an organizational link. Aditya and Tejas
are Uddhav and Rashmis two sons. Aditya works
as a politician while Tejas takes pictures of
animals. Political Career of Uddhav Thackeray As
an editor for the Shiv Sena magazine Saamana,
Uddhav Thackeray began his political career and
was instrumental in advancing the party's ideas
and ideology. Uddhav was appointed Shiv Sena's
working president in 2004, and then he gained
total control of the party after his father Bal
Thackeray passed away in 2012. Shiv Sena became a
significant political force in Maharashtra under
Uddhav's leadership, and he has played a key
role in the organization's outreach to the
people who do not understand Marathi. Uddhav
tried and failed with the "Me Mumbaikar"(I am
Mumbaite) campaign in 2003. Following this,
Uddhav Thackeray was held accountable for the
Shiv Sena's resounding loss in the 2004 assembly
elections. After that, the Thackeray family was
divided into two in 2005. While Raj Thackeray
established his party, Uddhav found it difficult
to run the organization. However, Uddhav
persisted in going forward and did not give up.
Balasaheb Thackeray's passing in 2012 was a
great loss for the Thackeray family since Shiv
Sena also emerged victorious in the BMC
elections. After the year 2014, Uddhav
Thackeray's political outlook changed and he
became more politically active in Maharashtra.
After taking office as Maharashtra's chief
minister in November 2019, Uddhav made his way
to the Assembly via the Legislative Council in
May 2020. While his son Aditya Thackeray is the
MLA for the Worli Assembly constituency, Uddhav
Thackeray has not yet entered an election. Aditya
is the first person in his family to run for
public office in an election. Since 1970, the
Thackeray family has impacted Maharashtra
politics. Whether that means standing up for the
rights of the community or uniting behind the
banner of Bhumiputra. The Thackeray family is
frequently spotted supporting the community
members. Political History of Uddhav
Thackeray Uddhav was a photographer before
entering the political field. He displayed a
selection of his photos of different
Maharashtrian forts at the Jahangir Art Gallery
in 2004. He had put his first photographic
exhibition earlier is the year 1999. This
exhibition is called Live and Let Live by him.
In addition, he is the author of two picture
books (Pahava Vitthal, 2011 Maharashtra Desh,
2010). In year 2002, Uddhav Thackeray began his
political career with the BMC elections. Uddhav
hasn't looked back since then. Uddhav
experienced several events at this
time, including the breakup of his family, the
passing of his father, and disagreements within
the party. In 1966, Father Bala Saheb Thackeray
planted the Shiv Sena, a political plant. Bala
Saheb gained notoriety

throughout India and Uddhav advanced to the
position of state chief minister because of this
plant. However, because of the party leaders'
revolt, Uddhav was unable to serve out his whole
term. In addition to costing Uddhav his chair,
this rebellion split the party in two. Shiv
Sena's past reveals that the party has
experienced numerous breakdowns. Whether it was
Chhagan Bhujbal quitting the party in 1995 with
eight MLAs, Narayan Rane quitting with ten MLAs
in 2005, or Raj Thackeray, Bal Thackeray's
nephew and a member of the Thackeray family,
quitting in 2006. Shiv Sena's history has been
replete with highs and lows. Uddhav Thackeray as
Chief Minister Uddhav focused on infrastructure
development, creating jobs, and state
agricultural reforms during his brief time as
chief minister. He also put several policies
into place that raised the average persons level
of living such as the Shiv Bhojan Thali Scheme.
During his tenure, Uddhav Thackeray faced some
scandals, including those involving his response
to the Covid-19 outbreak and the demolition of
allegedly unlawful buildings in Mumbai.
Maharashtra had flooding in 2019, and
Uddhav worked to upgrade the state's
infrastructure. We were quite grateful for the
government's efforts. For 943 days, Uddhav
Thackeray presided as chief minister. Achievemen
ts of Uddhav Thackeray Uddhav contributed
significantly to the 2002 BMC elections and
helped the party through improved leadership. As
a result, Uddhav gained recognition as a
powerful politician. Following this, Uddhav
gained prominence within the party and was
appointed its working president in 2003. Uddhav
took over as editor of Shiv Sena's publication
Saamana in 2006. Following the passing of his
father, Bal Thackeray, in 2012, he has been the
Shiv Sena chief since 2013. A campaign to reduce
farm debt was started by Uddhav for farmers in
Maharashtra and Vidarbha. Uddhav (Uddhav
Balasaheb Thackeray) rose to the position of
Chief Minister of Maharashtra in 2019 and
presently serves as the party's national
president. Uddhav Thackeray says of his passion
for photography, "It's like oxygen to me."
Despite what others may think, I am unable to
give up photography. I wish to take images of
Mount Everest, Antarctica, and active
volcanoes. Uddhav Thackeray's Assets His entire
assets exceed Rs 143.27 crore, as per the ADR
