Chaitanya Mahaprabhu,appeared as a devotee
during the Kali era. On what is now known as
Gaura-Purnima, he appeared in the evening of the
full moon day in the Phalguna month.
3Great Celebration at Jagannatha Misras Home
- Many honorable brahmana gentlemen and ladies came
with gifts to bless the newborn kid after
hearing that Jagannatha Misra and Sacimata had
given birth to a baby boy. Even the ladies of the
gods appeared in disguise as brahmana wives and
brought - presents. As a result, there was a large
celebration at - Jagannatha Misras house the day following
Purnima. That day is remembered today as the
festival of Jagannatha Misra, or the - feast of Jagannatha Misra, because to celebrate
the birth of his son, he received many visitors
and well-wishers and offered - presentations to them all. Finally, everyone
