Introduction
  • The acromioclavicular (AC) joint is a small joint
    located at the top of the shoulder, where the
    collarbone (clavicle) meets the shoulder blade
    (acromion). It is a key stabilizer of the
    shoulder girdle and allows for a wide range of
    motion.
  • AC joint injuries are common among athletes,
    particularly those who participate in contact
    sports such as football, hockey, and rugby. They
    can also occur in other sports such as cycling,
    skiing, and snowboarding

Types of AC Joint Injuries

    visibly displaced.
