HHMD, is a portable electronic device used to
detect the presence of metal objects.

It is commonly used for security screening in
various settings, such as airports, schools,
public events, and even in archaeological
excavations.
Coil System The handheld metal detector contains
a coil system, typically consisting of two coils
the transmitter coil and the receiver
coil. Electromagnetic Field When the device is
turned on, an alternating current is sent through
the transmitter coil, creating an electromagnetic
field around it. Metal Detection When the
detector is passed over a metallic object, it
disturbs the electromagnetic field. This
disturbance induces a current in the metallic
object. Alarm The receiver coil senses the
induced current from the metallic object and
alerts the user through an audible or visual
alarm, indicating the presence of metal.
