The focal point of the CPA Evolution revolves
around evaluating a candidate's proficiency in
accounting, auditing, tax, and technology. The
revised exam will uphold the same rigorous
standards along with an added emphasis on the
evolving technological demands of our profession.

Updated Structure
In line with the new model, the CPA Evolution
will bring about changes in the exam structure.
The updated exam will consist of three core
sections and three discipline sections. To pass
the exam, candidates will need to successfully
complete all three core sections along with one
discipline section.

CoreDiscipline Model

• This new Core Discipline model is intended to
  provide students an opportunity to demonstrate a
  deeper level of mastery specific to one aspect of
  accounting. Every CPA candidate will be required
  to choose one discipline to specialize in for the
  CPA Evolution. The disciplines are
• Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR)
• Tax Compliance and Planning (TCP)
• Information Systems and Controls (ISC)
