A Charity 5k running event is a great place for
beginners to start when entering the world of
charity runs. 5k charity runs are generally the
shortest distance of all charity running events

Some charity runners may find signing up for
their first 5k charity run a little nerve racking

the 5k event. If you are prepared, then it
alleviates much of the stress behind completing
that 5k run distance. Preparation for your 5k

training run plan, but learning how to train
smart, exactly what and how much to drink and eat
on 5k race day, as well as understanding what
race day holds in store for you.

How to Fuel your 5k run Did you know that what
you eat and drink has a direct effect on your
stamina and energy levels and how easily you can
access these during your 5k run. A 5k charity
running event is considered one of the shorter
distances of charity running events and therefore
you will need to tap into your carbohydrate
storage. To ensure you have enough the correct
level of carbs in your system refer to training
and nutrition plans for 5k runs. Do be careful as
overeating carbs in preparation for your race
day can leave you feeling sluggish for your 5k
run.

more important that you may give it credit for.
