Ritesh Agrawal Founder and CEO of OYO Rooms.
Ritesh Agarwals entrepreneurial is one of the
most successful entrepreneurs stories in India.
Ritesh Agarwal has had an interesting childhood.
He was never fond of studies so he dropped formal
out of his plans. The idea of Oravel Stays Pvt.
Ltd. in the year 2012. The basic idea was a
budget hotel chain that provides BB. Realizing
that no other service offered a room for a budget
traveller, Ritesh took the idea from Oravel Stays
to OYO rooms. He started OYO with 11 rooms only
in Gurgaon hotel. This is one of the best
successful entrepreneurs stories in India.
Today, OYO has 65000 rooms in about 5500
properties across 170 cities in India.

Vijay Shekhar Sharma Founder and CEO of Paytm.
Vijay Shekhar observed the growing phenomenal use
of smartphones. He wanted to contribute to
society so that people could use smartphones to
do transactions online. On 8th July 2010, an
online website was launched called Paytm.com
under its parent company One97 Communications.
Within a couple of days, it popularized among
people due to its paying facility of electricity
bill, water bill, and gas bill facility. Paytm
made peoples life easy. Within 2 years, its
users increased to two lakh fifty thousand. By
2017, Paytm became Indias first payment app with
100 million downloads of the application.

Byju Raveendran Founder and CEO of Byjus.
Thankfully, the Edtech sector is growing fast
enough to fill this gap. And talking about Edtech
in India, one name that can't be missed is
BYJUs. Read on to find out how an engineer's
passion for teaching led him to start the worlds
most valued ed-tech company. BYJU'S was founded
in the year 2011 by Byju Raveendran. He
is India's youngest billionaire with a net worth
of 3.05 billion as per the Forbes list of
India's 100 Richest People (2020). BYJU's The
Learning App was launched in 2015 and is
currently noted as the most valuable start-up
from India with a valuation of 22 bn.

Shiv Nadar Founder and CEO of HCL Technologies
Limited.
The first venture Nadar and his partners
established was Micro Comp Limited. This company
was involved in manufacturing and selling tele
digital calculators. But the group harboured a
greater goal. Nonetheless, Micro Comp was
considered as a first step toward achieving the
bigger goal. It was in 1976 when he went on to
incorporate HCL with an initial investment of Rs
1,87,000. The UP government, impressed by Nadar's
vision for the business, granted him an
additional Rs 20 lakh in exchange of 26 stake in
the company. The government stake allowed him to
name the company "Hindustan Computers
Limited". They manufactured the first indigenous
computer in 1978, which was called the HCL 8C. In
1985, the first multiprocessor version of Unix,
'HCL Busy Bee', was released.

Bhavish Aggarwal is an Indian entrepreneur and
co-founder of Ola Cabs, Indias most popular Cab
Aggregator and Ridesharing company. Bhavish
Aggarwal was born on 28th August, 1985 and
brought up in Ludhiana, Punjab. He graduated from
the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay IIT
Bombay with a bachelors degree in Computer
science and engineering in 2008. Bhavish enjoys
playing squash, cycling, and owns a photography
blog. Aggarwal took a huge risk of his life by
quitting good paying and stable job at Microsoft
Research India to build an empire of online
rental cab service. in 2010, Bhavish founded OLA
CABS in Bengaluru with Ankit Bhati and was
officially owned by ANI Technologies Pvt Ltd
which was a re-branding of his previous venture.

Deepinder Goyal Founder and CEO of Zomato.
Zomato is an Indian restaurant aggregator which
delivers food in almost every Indian city. Zomato
provides a complete reference for a restaurant.
Right from menus to reviews, it covers all the
aspects entered around a restaurant. Now, the
question in your mind would be who found this
brilliant start up to curb all your midnight
cravings - it was founded by Deepinder Goyal and
Pankaj Chaddah. Zomato is gradually building on
its global presence. They have acquired about 12
startups in different countries including
 foreign competitors to increase its foothold in
other countries. In 2014, Zomato acquired
Gastronauci, Polands restaurant search service,
and Cibando, an Italian restaurant finder. They
made their biggest acquisition in 2015 by
acquiring Seattle based Urbanspoon for an
estimated 60 million.

Nithin Kamath Founder and CEO of Zerodha.
Nithin Kamath is the Founder and Chief Executive
Officer of Zerodha. He began trading stocks when
he was introduced to the markets by his friends
at just 17. He started trading in penny stocks.
He had accumulated quite a bit of money by the
time he finished his engineering degree from the
Bangalore Institute of Technology. He then lost
it all - Rs 5 lakh - between 2001 and 2002 when
the markets crashed. Undeterred, he began working
at a call centre during the night while he traded
stocks in the day to build up his trading
capital. This went on for a couple of years until
he met an American HNI who gave him a cheque and
asked Nithin to manage his money. Eventually, he
started his brokerage Kamath Associates and
became a sub-broker for Reliance Money in 2006.
In one of the biggest gamble of his life, Nithin
started Zerodha in the middle of a trading lull
in 2010.

Dinesh Agarwal Founder and CEO of IndiaMart.
Dinesh Agarwal is the Co-founder Chief
Executive Officer of IndiaMart. After completing
his BTech in Computer Science from HBTI (Harcourt
Butler Technological Institute) in Kanpur, his
first job was at CMC (now part of TCS) where he
worked on the first Railway reservation system.
His tryst with technology led him to the US,
where he worked at HCL Technologies. In August
1995, when VSNL (Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited)
launched public internet access in India, Dinesh
knew he wanted to go back home. He resigned a
year later and returned to become an internet
entrepreneur.

Deep Kalra Founder and CEO of MakeMyTrip.
Deep is the Founder, Group Chairman and Group CEO
of Indias leading online travel company,
MakeMyTrip Ltd. Launched in India in 2005,
MakeMyTrip is today one of the largest e-commerce
business in the country. Deep steered MakeMyTrip
as CEO since its inception in 2000, to a
successful listing on NASDAQ in August 2010. He
took on the role of Group CEO in August 2013, to
focus on Strategy, MA and international
businesses. He continues to lead the Groups
strategic development and overall execution
excellence. Deep served as the President of TiE
Delhi Chapter from 2013 to 2016 and continues to
serve as an active board member. He is the Vice
Chairman of IAMAI and a member of Nasscoms
Internet Council. Deep is also closely involved
with leading industry bodies like CII and FICCI
as part of their Travel Tourism sub-
committees. He is one of the founders of Ashoka
University and serves on their governing body.
