Express Entry is a procedure, not a program.
In 2015, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship
Canada (IRCC) introduced the Express Entry
application management system. It was put in
place because it was recognized that the current
method was ineffective in dealing with the
enormous number of applications received by
IRCC. Previously, Canada examined every
application, regardless of whether the applicant
met a set of basic qualifications. As a result,
the full application process could take up to
five years.
What is the Express Entry method for Canada?
It is not as difficult as it appears on the
surface to obtain Canada Express Entry. The first
step is to determine your eligibility. Then, in
order to express your interest in applying for
permanent residency in Canada, you must complete
your profile. Following that, you will be
assigned a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
score. Every two weeks or so, IRCC invites the
highest-scoring individuals to apply. The Canada
Express Entry procedure is split down into
easy-to-follow steps.
21 Determine whether you are eligible for Canada
Express Entry. Each of the three Express
Entry-managed programs will have its own set of
eligibility requirements. At least one of them
must be available to you. 2 Obtain an ECA and
complete your language evaluation. 3 Visit the
IRCC website and fill out your profile. 4 Check
with IRCC to see if you have received an
Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent
residency in Canada. 5 If you receive an ITA,
fill out an electronic Application for Canada
Permanent Residence (e-APR) and submit it to IRCC
along with your fees within 60 days. Your medical
checkup and police certifications must be
included in this phase. The IRCC will then send
you an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR). 6
Submit your biometrics when IRCC asks them. 7
Wait for the IRCC to make a final decision on
your application. Once confirmed, you will
receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence
(COPR) and a Canada permanent resident visa (if
you are from a country that requires one),
allowing you to complete your landing.

full-time work offer from a Canadian employer, or

Quebec and Nunavut, has a Provincial Nominee
Program (PNP). Provinces conduct frequent
assessments of the Express Entry candidate pool.

eligible for one of the Express Entry-managed
programs, the
4province may extend an invitation to file an
application for a provincial nomination.

certain province in their application.

Entry. In order to deal with the backlog of
applications, IRCC delayed CEC and FSWP

FSWP candidates through Express Entry once more.
