What is RIRS Surgery?

• RIRS is a minimally invasive procedure to remove
  the stones from the kidneys, during the surgery,
  a type of viewing tube known as a fibre optic
  endoscope is passed through the kidney.

• Pre-operative fitness from anaesthetist
• In some patients based on their conditions, DJ
  stent can be placed before the surgery to dilate
  the ureter and making the use of ureteroscope
  flexible and smooth during the surgery.

What to Expect after the RIRS Surgery

• After the RIRS procedure a patient can
  expect the following situation
• a pee catheter would be put in the urethra to
  minimize the pain and issue while peeing
• the patient would be asked to drink a ton of
  liquids particularly water to pee in any event
  2.5 litres consistently
• If every thing is ok a patient can resume normal
  activities the next after the surgery
