• Every year on 31st may, World No Tobacco day is
  organized by World Health Organization to promote
  the awareness about the risk related to the
  consumption of tobacco and its product and its
  ill affect on the family, society and environment.

History Significance of World No Tobacco Day

• World no tobacco day was first observed on
  7th April, 1988 by world health assembly, a wing
  of who, with an objective to request the tobacco
  user worldwide to avoid using tobacco products
  for 24 hours, hoping the action could motivate
  and support the tobacco user who is trying to
  quit.
• After the campaign's success, the world health
  assembly declared 31st may as world no tobacco
  day, and since then, who has supported the
  mission with different ideas and themes to
  promote it on the global platform

• Every year, World No Tobacco Day theme, holds a
  specific information to address the world about
  the issues related to tobacco, and this year 2022
  the World No Tobacco Day theme is "Protect the
  Environment"
