Multiplication with 1series
Multiplying any double digit no. with 11.
Multiplication of 1s with 1s.
Multiplying any double digit no. with 101.
1 series are the number which have only 1s in
them.

EXAMPLE 3 4 X 1 1 3 7 4 (34) EXPLANATION STEP
1 Write the same no. that we have to multiply
with 11 with the same gap in between. In the
above example the number is 34. STEP 2 In the
gap that we have left, we can fill only 1
digit. And this no. will be the sum of both
digits of the no. that is to be multiplied with
11. In our example this no. will be 7,
347 So complete answer is 3 7 4

PAPER
EXPLANATION In the above question, we have
equal no of 1s i.e. we have 4 1s in the
multiplier and multiplicand. So in the answer
block we will start writing no. s from 1 upto the
no. of 1s (here it is 4). And later go
backwards till 1.

Do Yourself 111 x 11 ? 111111 x 111
? 1111111 x 1111 ? TRY NOT TO USE PEN- PAPER
EXPLANATION In this question, multiplicand has
5 1s and multiplier has 3 1s. so the difference
of no. of 1s is 2 (5-32) Now in the answer
block we will start writing no.s from 1 and will
go upto the no. of lesser 1s i.e. 3 her. And
we also know the difference of no. of 1s that
is 2. So this no 3 will be repeated 2 more
times. And then go backwards till 1.

EXPLANATION In these questions, in the answer
block we have to write the no. 2 times which we
are multiplying with 101.
