The pelvic ultrasound is a non-invasive
diagnostic test that produces images used to
determine the structure and organs within the
pelvis. The pelvic ultrasound examines the
uterus, cervix, vagina, fallopian tubes, ovary
and the other pelvic organs. Transducers are
used in Ultrasound to transmit sound waves at a
very high frequency an Ultrasound gel is
applied to the skin and transducer to allow for
flat movement of the transducer and to eliminate
air between the skin and transducer for the best
sound transmission. Just google the "best
gynecology ultrasound near me" and find out the
best clinic. Check out the 4 kinds of pelvic
ultrasonography.

Transvaginal Ultrasound
Transvaginal Ultrasound is a type of pelvic
ultrasound used by doctors to examine the
reproductive organs in women. This includes the
uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, and
vagina. During the transvaginal exam, the
transducer is inserted a few inches into your
vagina after it has been covered in lubricating
gel. Initially, it might feel uncomfortable. By
gently moving the transducer at different angles,
your provider will be able to obtain clear
pictures of your reproductive organs.

Transabdominal Ultrasound
The transabdominal ultrasound can be utilized to
visualize multiple abdominal organs, both
intraperitoneal and retroperitoneal. The
transabdominal ultrasound examination is defined
as an examination performed with the ultrasound
transducer overlying the abdominal wall.
Transabdominal ultrasound can be used for
examining the liver, gallbladder, kidneys,
pancreas, spleen, stomach, uterus, adnexa,
spleen, and IVC, among other organs.

Doppler Ultrasound
Doppler ultrasounds are noninvasive imaging
tests that can provide information about blood
flow by bouncing high- frequency sound waves .
Doppler ultrasound tests are used to help health
care providers find out if you have a condition
that is reducing or blocking your blood flow. It
may also be used to help diagnose certain heart
diseases. The test is most often used to check
heart function, Look for blockages in blood
flow, and Check for blood vessel damage and
defect.

Transrectal Ultrasound
  • Transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) is also known as a
    prostate sonogram or endorectal ultrasound.
  • During this procedure, the prostate and
surrounding tissues are analyzed. During the
exam, a lubricated transducer is inserted into
your rectum so that it can picture the lining and
send sound waves that travel through the rectum
wall into the prostate and surrounding tissues.
