Client Profile
Greenville Water is a water utility company based
in Greenville, South Carolina, which employs
engineers, accountants, chemists, skilled
official workers, state-approved water treatment
plant operators, skillful mechanics, maintenance
crews, and machine operators to conduct its
operations. Greenville Water deals with Table
Rock Reservoir and North Saluda Reservoir, which
are treated at the Stovall Plant enacted in 2000.
Water from Lake Keowee is treated at the Adkins
Plant, enacted at 1985. It also has 27 tanks and
19 pumps. The main office has housing management,
customer service, information technology,
accounting, billing, and field services staff,
and is situated at the 407 West Broad Street.

Challenge
Greenville Water had an issue with their
employees finding the UKG puch-in process quite
tedious and complex. There was some resistance
from their employees, who did not want to use
their own mobile devices for punching in. This is
understandable, as employees might be concerned
with their personal data being breached.
Greenville Water has 100 employees in their
facility, and they had to find a way to implement
seamless time-punching for their employees to
clock in and out of their facility.
Solution
After an in-depth analysis of Greenville Waters
situation, we suggested our RightPunch app to be
used in Kiosk mode with the facial recognition
configuration for capturing touchless attendance
records, as endorsed by UKG. This app is the
perfect fit for Greenville Water, enabling
employees to be accurately identified and submit
attendance data using 5 tablets for UKG Ready
across their plant. Greenville Water is currently
in the process of implementing RightPunch across
their sites, with 40 of their employees already
enrolled. The registration process is quick and
simple for employees, taking only a few seconds
to get facial scans, which are then saved in the
UKG database, which is then accessed by
RightPunch.
Once registered, employees simply scan their
faces in the RightPunch app using the
front-facing camera on any tablet. The solution
then seamlessly submits their time data to UKG
Dimension.
