Title: Prepare for AWS Certification Developer
1Prepare for AWS Certification Developer
2SUMMARY
- I just want to inform you that I am currently
preparing to take a second attempt at my AWS
Certification Developer, specifically I'm
referring to the AWS Developer Associate exam. - If you've never attempted an AWS certification
exam, you could be asking yourself these
questions - What areas are you being tested in?
- How do I prepare?
- What websites can I utilize?
- How long should I prepare?
- What kind of experience do I require in using
AWS? - These questions are all being pondered in your
mind, however, with a little planning and
concentration, you will get a certification
passed If you're dedicated. Sometimes, you can
study by watching videos or reading articles and
think that you're ready, however should you fail
the test ....then it might cause you to feel
discouraged. - One size doesn't fit everyone, some students
attempt to pass an exam by cramming exam-prep
questions, and pass without ever having any prior
work experience, but it does happen.
3Preparing for AWS Developer - Associate
Exam Because I am currently studying for my AWS
Developer - Associate exam I'm trying to learn
more about the topics that will be covered in the
test. A good resource is the following page
https//passyourcert.net/aws-certification-online-
training/ I visited the Associate-level AWS
Certifications site to download the exam guide
and read the suggested skills. This certification
proves my proficiency in creating, deploying, and
debugging cloud-based software by using AWS. Read
About More AWS Certifications and How to Pass Them
4- Recommended Knowledge for DVA-C01
- at least one year of hands-on experience in
developing as well as maintaining an AWS
Application based on AWS - At the very least an advanced programming
language - Knowledge of the core AWS features, functions,
and fundamental AWS design best practices - Experience in the development, deployment, and
debugging of cloud-based software making use of
AWS - Ability to utilize the AWS APIs for services, AWS
CLI, and SDKs to write apps - The ability to recognize the key aspects of AWS
services - AWS shared responsibility model AWS shared model
of responsibility - Understanding of the application lifecycle
management - Ability to make use of a CI/CD pipeline for the
deployment of applications to AWS - Ability to communicate with AWS services
- A foundational understanding of cloud-native apps
to write code - Capability to create code following AWS Best
practices for security (e.g. not using secret or
access keys within the code and instead employing
IAM roles) - Ability to write, maintain and debug code modules
on AWS - Expertise in writing code for serverless
applications - Understanding the importance of containers during
the development process - I then scrolled to the exam outline, and I find
out more about the different areas I'll be
testing on. This includes the following
5- Domain 1 Deployment (22 percent of the test)
- Write code to deploy in AWS by using existing
pipelines, processes, and patterns - Install applications with Elastic Beanstalk
- Make the application deployment packages to be
distributed to AWS - Implement serverless applications
- Domain 2 Security (26 percent of the test)
- Calls that are authenticated to AWS services.
- Implement encryption using AWS services
- Implement authentication for applications, and
authorize
6- Domain 3 Development using AWS services (30
percent of the exam) - Code for serverless applications.
- Translate the functional requirements into design
concepts for applications - Implement application design into application
code - Write code that communicates with AWS services
using SDKs, APIs and APIs as well as the AWS CLI - Domain 4 Refactoring (10 percent of the test)
- Optimize your application for optimal use of AWS
features and services - Transfer existing program to be run by AWS
- Domain 5 Monitoring and Troubleshooting (12
percent of the test) - Write code that is watched
- Conduct root cause analysis of issues that arise
in production or testing
7- Plan of Action
- It can be quite a bit of information, so don't
attempt to absorb it all in one go. There are
different websites to purchase preparation test
questions to make you acquainted with the test
and try to learn the questions ( I would not
recommend this as it doesn't really help your
career, so just buy the paper). In the end, I'll
be using the tests for prep exams to check
against what I've learned. Me, I know I am able
to retain information through the use of an AWS
service, and I will be able to make better
judgments when answering questions on the exam. - My plan to begin
- Begin by focusing on deployment.
- Download the deployment document directly from
AWS. - Read up on deployment and play with deployment
tools. - Based on my availability, I might spend a few
days on this. - I'll begin with this and see what happens and
make any changes that are needed. Then I'll move
on to the following Domain section. - I might use videos. I might use exam prep,
however, we will discuss this later.
