A Cloud Nine-Themed Bridal Shower

After getting engaged, wedding planner Azar
Jazestani found herself floating on a cloud. So
it was only natural that she planned a
light-as-air showerand invited loved ones to
share in her bliss. Azar, the owner of Principal
Planner, in Montréal, ends her days dreaming up
events that put others in the spotlight. But on
January 14, 2017, all eyes were on her. Though
bridal showers are often hosted by the maid of
honor or a relative, Azar wanted to save her
loved ones the heavy liftingand after all,
focusing on the details is what she does best. So
she took the helm. Her euphoric mood made a
heavenly theme an obvious choiceand the
white-on-white (with dashes of pink) color scheme
suited the season.

She chose Joe's Prop House as her settinga blank
canvas on which to serve up brunch, sweets, fun,
and games. And the sky, it turns out, really was
the limit.

Heaven Set
Hydrangea "clouds" raining mini carnations hung
over the tables (thanks to Aura Design), with
puffs of faux snow running down the middle.
Seating was informalwith each guest choosing a
spot to sit. The linens, chairs, and tables, all
came from the venue, Joe's Prop House, and Olive
Orange Catering handled the menu.

"Just have fun! So many brides are concerned with
showers they've attended or things they've seen
at them," Azar says. "But when your event
represents you, success is inevitable."

Have a Seat
Each of the 25 guests got a box of goodies to
usewhere else?in the shower. Bath-themed
cookies by LV Sweets were packaged along with a
loofah, soaps, bath oils, a sponge, and a spa
headband. Cards tucked under napkins prompted
attendees to write down a memory they shared with
Azar. Each was later read aloud, to lots of happy
laughter."Give favors with meaning," Azar
suggests. "If you're known for being funny, give
something that gets you laughing. If you're a DIY
lover, try a mini photo album. Skip heavily
branded items Guests love you, but they don't
want anything with your initials on it."

Dressed in Palette

The dress code was whitebut Azar (here, with a
friend and the mother of the bride) wore pink.
Her dress is by Missguided, and her belt is from
BCBG. From Above Azar's girlfriends are display
coordinators and had a piece used in a store that
was befitting of the celebration. The winter
icicle creation was installed over the game
area.
