low overhead for the user

And real which is more involved since cash drawer
is per store each store in the enterprise can be
set to use one or the other both real and virtual
drawer processes track cash invoices by seller at
point-of-sale.

However, that's pretty much where the
similarities end so let's look at the differences
starting with virtual basically virtual cash
drawer tracts the user instead of the physical
drawers for cash transactions. There's three ways
that virtual drawers can be set up

The first is one drawer per store where only one
drawer is used in the entire store and all users
share that drawer users are not assigned and
anyone creating a transaction is automatically
tracked to the drawer when the drawer is closed
all users are removed and the drawers ready for
the next shift or day

The second type is one drawer per user and allows
each user to be tracked as a drawer so that no
drawer assigning is needed users can create
invoices on any PC and the system tracks the
transaction to the seller leaving the
responsibility of opening the right physical
drawer to the user drawers are automatically
created.

When the user creates an invoice and are tracked
in the end of day to the employee each virtual
drawer must be closed to be included in the end
of day

The third virtual draw type allows managers to
manually assign one or more users to each drawer
drawers must be manually created and once created
cannot be removed from the display one or more
users must be assigned to each drawer being used
but the same user can't be assigned to more than
one drawer at a time

Users create invoices on all pcs and the cash is
tracked to the drawer the employee is assigned to
each drawer is closed once regardless how many
users are assigned to it

Now, let's look at the virtual drawer management
screen it's used to see the total transactions
per open drawer and is also used to assign
employees if multiple users work from the same
drawer.

Unlike virtual cash drawer that always tracks the
users as the drawer's real cash drawer tracks the
physical drawers and can be set up two ways the
first forces users to tender cash invoices from
their assigned terminals only, they can create
charged invoices on other terminals, but cash
invoices can only be made at their assigned
terminal

The second allows users to create cash invoices
on all terminals and tracks the cash to the
drawer their employee is assigned to in this way
it's close to how virtual drawer tracking work
the user is responsible for putting the cash in
the right physical drawer. There are two other
setups for real drawers if the same users pretty
much always use the same drawers

then the business rule can be set to always
assigned so the manager doesn't have to assign
the users each day

A safe is used to track the cash, from the
drawer's starting cash, cash added to the drawers
from the safe, and ending cash that is moved back
to the safe. receipt envelopes can optionally be
used for bank deposits from the safe, loans can
be made
