Producing 210 horsepower at 5,200 rpm, with 235
lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm (that's 157 kW and
319 Nm), the 3.7 was more carlike in its power
curve than past Jeep and Dodge Ram engines. The
Rockerlocks 3.7-liter six-cylinder engines are
pretty reliable and durable.

Ram 4.7
Ram 4.7 will eventually get rid of the aging
4.7-liter and make the eight-speed the standard
transmission across the lineup. The diesel will
typically get you better gas mileage, can tow
more with ease, doesn't have a huge drop in mpg
when you tow, and can run for 250,000 miles
without a problem.
