• Prior to joining Apollo, John was heading the
  national sales operation in Varian Medical
  Systems, USA and also served as the national head
  of Sumitomo Proton Therapy, Japan.
• He has proven expertise in assessing the
  competitive market trends, improving business

  support and driving marketing business
  development initiatives in the oncology business.

Leading the First Proton Therapy Project in South
Asia The Middle East

• Apollo Hospitals is one of the leading healthcare
  service providers in Asia. Apollo has 14 Cancer
  Centres across the country and they are the first
  in South Asia The Middle East to introduce
  Proton Therapy Centre.
• Apollo Proton Cancer Centre is considered
  pivotal in the Groups mission in Cancer
  Management. John, being the key project lead,
  took the end to end responsibility in
  establishing this proton centre which is first of
  its kind facility in the country.
• Under his leadership, the centre emerged as a
  World Class Comprehensive Cancer Centre. He was
  also involved in equipment configuration and
  selection, designing the state of the art
  infrastructure, project coordination with IBA
  AERB, commissioning and starting clinical
  operation of Proton therapy in Jan 2019.
• John's engineering education combined with his
  formal management degree, his passion for
  oncology and his experience in setting up over
  100 cancer centres across the region puts him in
  a unique position to handle the needs of a
  dynamic and ever-changing business environment.
• The Apollo Hospitals Group has an extensive
  blueprint to further increase its reach and
  domain expertise in the ?eld of Oncology. John
  who is a KOL in the field of oncology
  particularly in radiation oncology and Proton
  Therapy is a vital cog in this journey ahead.

• JCI accreditation for Apollo Proton Cancer Centre
  First dedicated cancer hospital in India and
  first and only Proton Therapy Centre in South
  Asia The Middle East accredited by the Joint
  Commission International. The Joint Commission
  International accreditation is the gold standard
  given to organizations that practice and follow
  the highest International Standards in order to
  provide world-class patient care and safety.
  Also, Apollo Proton Cancer Centre is the 8th
  hospital in the Apollo Hospitals Group to join
  the portfolio of JCI accredited hospitals.
• Frost Sullivans Indian Radiation Oncology
  Technology Leadership Award under the category
  'Transformational Healthcare' across the Gulf
  Cooperation Council (GCC), India, Asia and North
  America. The Best Practices Award for 2020 has
  been presented to Apollo Proton Cancer Centre for
  excelling in technological leverage and patient
  experience.
