• Hi Jon Dodds here, your friendly neighborhood
  Kitesurf Instructor. I just wanted to get in
  touch to see if youre ok and to give you an
  update on whats going on here in the Dominican
  Republic.
• Ive been getting a lot of emails recently from
  people asking me when can they come back down to
  Cabarete for their kitesurfing trips and it seems
  like everyone is ready to break loose to enjoy
  some fun in the sun.

• As you probably know the Dominican Republic has
  been locked down here since March and as such all
  flights, Hotels and tourism, including
  watersports have been put on hold. Earlier this
  week the government announced their 4 phase plan
  to reopen the country, phase 1 has already
  started this week and has allowed some local
  businesses to reopen but currently the borders
  remain closed to tourists and of course
  watersports are still not permitted at this time.
  
• So, according to the governments plan general
  tourism, airports, hotels and restaurants will be
  opening in phase 4 which is planned for the 1st
  of July, so all going well we should all be able
  to all get back into the water and enjoy the
  kitesurfing at that time.

• Kite Club is planning to open its doors on or
  around the 1st of July 2020 for Cabarete
  Kitesurfing Lessons by reservation only and for
  Full Club Members (with lockers) only. We will
  not be opening to general admission until further
  notice. Please check out Club Membership here

• If you are planning a trip I would recommend that
  you check in with your airline and embassy for
  any travel advisories specific to your country
  before departure and re-entry. And of course
  there will probably be some social distancing and
  health advisories still in effect here that you
  may want to discuss with your tour operator or
