Gynaecology
  • Gynecology is the medical practice dealing with
the health of the female reproductive systems
(vagina, uterus, and ovaries) and the breasts. A
gynecologist is a surgeon who specializes in the
female reproductive system, which includes the
cervix, fallopian tubes, ovaries, uterus, vagina
    and vulva. Menstrual problems, contraception,
sexuality, menopause and infertility issues are
diagnosed and treated by a gynecologist most
gynecologists also provide prenatal care, and
    some provide primary care.
  • Menstrual problems include amenorrhea (the
    absence of menstrual periods), dysmenorrhea
    (painful menstrual periods) and menorrhagia
(heavy menstrual periods). Menorrhagia is a
common indication for hysterectomy, which is the
    surgical removal of the uterus.
  • Gynecologists most frequently perform an
examination known as a pap smear, which is a test
that uses an instrument called a speculum to
detect abnormalities in the female reproductive
system, including cervical and ovarian cancers.

5
Paediatrics
  • Pediatrics is the branch of medicine dealing with
the health and medical care of infants, children,
and adolescents from birth up to the age of 18.
  • A paediatrician is a childs physician who
provides not only medical care for children who
are acutely or chronically ill but also
preventive health services for healthy children.
A paediatrician manages physical, mental, and
emotional well-being of the children under their
care at every stage of development, in both
    sickness and health.
  • Paediatricians diagnose and treat several
    conditions among children including-
  • injuries
  • infections
  • genetic and congenital conditions
  • cancers
  • organ diseases and dysfunctions

Orthopedics
  • Orthopedics is a medical specialty that focuses
on the diagnosis, correction, prevention, and
treatment of patients with skeletal deformities
disorders of the bones, joints, muscles,
ligaments, tendons, nerves and skin. These
elements make up the musculoskeletal system.
  • Your bodys musculoskeletal system is a complex
system of bones, joints, ligaments, tendons,
muscles and nerves and allows you to move, work
and be active. Once devoted to the care of
children with spine and limb deformities,
orthopedics now cares for patients of all ages,
from newborns with clubfeet, to young athletes
requiring arthroscopic surgery, to older people
with arthritis. The physicians who specialize in
this area are called orthopedic surgeons or
    orthopedists.
