Introduction
Windshield Cracks are inevitable and can be
caused due to variety of reasons. No matter what
the cause of cracks is, getting your windshield
repaired or replaced immediately is of utmost
importance. However, in many cases, a windshield
crack is deep enough that it is impossible to
repair it. In this scenario, windshield
replacement has to be performed. Now there are 2
types of windshields available OEM and
aftermarket. Let us know the differences between
the two.

OEM Windshield
  • OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer.
    OEM Windshields are manufactured by the same
    company that provided the original glass of your
    vehicle and therefore it is almost identical to
    the glass that was installed in your vehicle
    when you purchased it.
  • When you choose to replace your cracked
    windshield with an OEM windshield, you know
    there will be no compromise on the functionality
    of the vehicle.

durability. Also, it does not fit 100 to the
vehicle causing leaks or producing noise while
driving. However, aftermarket windshields are
mostly preferred by the customers because of its
low price and easy availability in local shops.

cars, it is always recommended to use OEM
