great wrap the stems in a tissue or in a paper
bag or bowl.

same vase. The vase should be placed on the stem,
leaving 3-5 inches of space around the vase. Do
not use paper bags or tissue paper to keep them
for long periods. And avoid using large vases as
they tend to trap heat, which kills the flowers.
