What is PGDM?

• The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is
  a diploma programme rather than a degree.
  Autonomous institutes may also offer the PGDM
  (not affiliated to any university). An MBA degree
  is not available from such institutions. Colleges
  that provide PGDM programmes must be approved by
  the All India Council for Technical Education
  (AICTE).

How many years is a PGDm Course

• The PGDM programme is two years long. Students
  must pass national or state-level entrance tests
  such as the CAT, MAT, or XAT, among others.
  Students can choose a PGDM concentration based on
  their interests and abilities.

IS PGDM as good as MBA

• Unlike MBA programmes, which are more theoretical
  in nature, PGDM programmes are industry focused.
  Grooming programmes, mentorship, and industry
  exposure are increasingly important in PGDMs.
  PGDM programmes also provide more stringent
  placement services. As a result, pursuing a PGDM
  from a reputable institution is usually an
  excellent way to pursue strong pay alternatives.

Is PGDM Valid for Government jobs?

• A relevant qualification for government jobs and
  higher education is a PGDM that has been
  recognised by the Association of Indian
  Universities (AIU) as equivalent to an MBA. The

  is a valid qualification for government jobs and
  higher education.

• No, the CAT is not required for the PGDM

  provide direct admission to PGDM programmes.
  However, a CAT score is preferred.

• After completing your PGDM programme, you will be
  able to work in a variety of research firms and
  institutes. You can apply for positions such as
  analytical specialists, business analysts, and
  other similar positions. In the public sector,
  several management-level positions are available
  to PGDMs.
