ABOUT UNIVERSITY
Situated in Shillong, Meghalaya, Martin Luther
King University was established in the year 2005.
MLCU has the record of being the first Christian
college that has been providing education. It is
been established for about two centuries. Though
a minority in the country, the university made a
very strong niche in the country by making a
strong foundation in the country. The creation
and functioning of the university are in
accordance with the University Grants Commission
Act, 1956 under Section 2(f). The sponsors of
Martin Luther Christian University are the
National Lutheran Health and Medical Board of the
United Evangelical Lutheran Church of India and
also the Khasi-Jaintia Presbyterian Assembly of
the Presbyterian Church of India. Some of the
courses offered by the university are such as
Allied Health Sciences, Educational
Psychology(M.A.) and also Clinical Psychology,
Environmental Studies, Business/Management Family
Financial Planning (Diploma), Social Work, Music,
Culinary Arts, and so on.

The institution molds a person in all aspects
such as curriculum, career, academics, polishing

important note is that it provides well-equipped
hostels for students who are staying away from

HISTORY
Martin Luther Christian University was
established in the year 2005. . The campus has
maintained an excellent infrastructure throughout
the years in its sixty acres of land. The
university has a record of hosting some important
events such as Meraki which all the students of
Bangalore look forward to participating. The
students who have been passed out from the
institution have been able to create and also
endeavor an environment that makes it possible
for them to use their skills in the best possible
manner. Setting up an educational institute in
such an area was the biggest obstacle. But still
keeping all that aside they rose to success in no
time and were able to produce some interesting
alumni to the society. Moreover, the university
throws a lot of impact on socially relevant
issues and has always promoted the well-being of
society. The reason behind the establishment of
the university was to provide education to the
students who are in remote areas and also pauper
students. The financial condition should not be
the reason for the unavailability of education.

INFRASTRUCTURE

• The university consists of some of the best
  features throughout its campus. It consists of
  well and spacious classrooms and hence the
  students always will have a sound mind and
  soothing environment for the students to listen
  to their lectures.
• The infrastructure also includes an excellent
  library that provides a plethora of books which h
  helps the student academically and otherwise.
• The computer laboratory consists of many
  amenities such as modems, printers, scanners, and
  many other devices connected to an efficient
  internet connection. This also helps the students
  have the right research and come up with their
  theories and thesis.
• The students have medical facilities so that they
  are able to assist the students when at times
  they need medical emergencies.
• Wi-fi is something that is available everywhere
  around the campus.
• The university has a canteen which serves fresh
  and also basic food which has the capacity of
  more than 300 students at a time

happen on the premises of that particular campus
