ABOUT UNIVERSITY
St Joseph University is a private university run
by DMI Sisters MMI Fathers. The university laid
its foundation in 2016. As per the Govt. Act No.6
of 2016, the state government of Nagaland
approved to function as a university. The
university has its location in Dimapur, Nagaland.
The University Grants Commission recognized St
Joseph University. Moreover, AICTE (All India
Council for Technical Education) approved the
university. The campus is huge and sprawls around
33 acres. Further, the university follows a
choice-based credit system.

HISTORY
Earlier in 2016, St Joseph University, Dimapur
came into existence. Through the continuous
efforts of DMI (Daughters of Mary Immaculate)
sisters and MMI (Missionaries of Mary Immaculate)
fathers of the Catholic church, the university
was set up. DMI Foundation is one of the Global
philanthropic organizations which has its service
in many countries such as Brazil, Tanzania,
Ethiopia, India, South Sudan, Germany, and the
United States of America. Moreover, the
university promotes high-tech education for the
students. Further, the foundation helps the
society on development of women, children and
youth with a greater extent of social
responsibility.

INFRASTRUCTURE
St. Joseph University, Dimapur, has a good
infrastructure. It has a wide range of
facilities. The campus has a calm and peaceful
atmosphere. Also, the campus sprawls around 33
acres of land. In addition, St. Joseph University
has facilities such as the library,
transportation, sports, hostels, etc.
Furthermore, the university has a Wifi campus,
medical facilities, labs are available. Likewise,
the university has various clubs to enhance
students' skills. Some of the facilities of St.
Joseph University are Hostel St. Joseph
University, Dimapur, has separate hostels for
both men and women. St. Joseph University campus
provides comfortable hostels. Choices of beds are
available depending on the students' needs. Also,
the hostel has a well-equipped structure with all
modern amenities. Further, the hostel has wardens
always available to care for the students. All
the hostels are easily reachable with the
classrooms, sports, and academic areas. In
addition, the hostels have sports facilities for
the sports students. Also, the hostel has
facilities such as DTH TV, dining hall, in-campus
food court, etc.

Sports In addition, St. Joseph University,
Dimapur gives equal importance to physical
activities. Grounds for games such as Basketball
Ground, Football ground, Cricket ground, etc. are
available. Moreover, indoor games such as Carrom,
Chess are also available. Library St. Joseph

for students. In fact, the library holds a

experiences for the students. Furthermore, the

digital electronics lab etc. In addition, there
are various labs for engineering students such as
Hydraulic Lab, Engineering workshop lab, Survey
lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, etc. Also, it has a
Journalism and Mass Communication Lab. Medical

medical facilities on the campus. The campus has
a first aid box everywhere. In case of emergency,
students will be shifted to nearby
hospitals. Transportation The university provides
bus facilities for the students to almost all the

seek for the admission form on the college
website. Also, students have to complete and fill
the application form online in the admission
portal to get admission. Then, students need to

merit-based as well as entrance-based, depending
on the courses. After the verification of
documents, students need to attend a telephonic
interview. Then, students have to pay the
admission fees online and to submit the e-receipt
