5Drum Filling Systems
- These drum filling systems are available in
either top fill only or bottom up fill
(subsurface) configurations. Top drum filling
configurations are less expensive but limited to
non foaming bulk products. Bottom up drum filling
configurations are very flexible systems capable
of filling almost any bulk product within a wide
range of foamy characteristics and viscosities.

- Either used for the filling of uncritical liquid
or pasty products or for hazardous area
application in zone 1, a mobile filling station
can help to save a lot of money within the
internal production process. - Complex piping and hosing can be spared as these
mobile "Plug Fill" machines are directly
brought to the tank, either supplied with rollers
or via floor conveyors. No foundation is
necessary. Compressed air supply is simply
connected via connectors and power supply is put
on. Thus, the same machine can be used at many
different fill places to fill different products
into drums, pails, cans or IBC.

- Drum filling equipment for semi-automatic filling
according to WM legislation of drums and
containers of up to 300kg, increment 100g. - The bunghole of the container is manually
positioned. - After the START button has been pressed, the
weigh scale automatically tares and the container
is filled in coarse and fine fill. - Extensive conveyor and palletizing systems can be
integrated. - Also available for hazardous area application.

- Feige offers even more stages of expansion for
the drum filling machine Type 33 for the
filling of steel and plastic drums. - Automatic de-bunging and bunging station,
nitrogen purging or pre- and final filling
station can be combined as per requirement. - After installation and power supply has been put
on, the machine is ready for use as electric and
pneumatic control has been designed in such a way
that it perfectly fits into one common control
cabinet. Cable conduits and cable laying can be
spared during installation. The basic idea of a
quick Plug Fill machine has even been
improved. Everything is ready mounted for
production, in case of hazardous area application
in zone 1 tested and designed as per ATEX
regulation.
