ABOUT UNIVERSITY
Established in 2009 SSUHS, Assam is an
establishment under "The Srimanta Sankaradeva
University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Act,
2007". As the sole medical university in the
NorthEast Region having authority over the whole
state of Assam, Srimanta Sankaradeva University
of Health Sciences (SSUHS) is a unique
institution. In order to facilitate the
complimentary interchange of knowledge and the
transfer of ideas amongst these various Faculties
of the University. The University's objective
shall be to establish, maintain, and evolve a
cognitive, spiritual, academic, as well as
structural environment beneficial to
universities. It was created in order to provide
consistency in educational standards across the
colleges of health sciences. The University is
housed at the Gauhati Medical College Building
(2nd Floor), Narakasur Hill Top, Bhangagarh,
Guwahati-32. Because the University is in
Guwahati, it is conveniently accessible by air,
train, and road transportation.

COURSES OFFERED
SSUHS, Assam offers undergraduate, postgraduate,
and PhD programs in various specializations. For
entry to a college, applicants must take and pass
a variety of national-level tests. Applicants
must also participate in the relevant exam
counselling. On the contrary, the period of the
courses differs depending on the course.
Admission to all courses is dependent on an
entrance exam and also merit-based. Now, read

COURSES OFFERED

1. SSUHS, Assam offers BSc in Nursing for which the
   candidates must pass class 12th with 50
   aggregate as well as in the relevant subjects. A
   candidate having a graduation degree in a
   relevant stream can also apply for MSc in
   Medical-Surgical Nursing. However, a candidate
   must also take the Common Entrance Exam (CEE).
2. The university offers three years courses such as
   MD and MS. Any candidate having 50 in
   Graduations in the relevant stream can apply for
   these courses. However, an applicant must also
   take the relevant entrance examination.
3. Students who pass 12th in relevant subjects with
   50 to 55 aggregate are eligible to apply for
   5.5 years MBBS and BHMS courses. However, NEET
   UG scores are equally important to apply for any
   of these courses.
4. The university offers PhD in various
   specialisations such as Ayurveda, Dental,
   Homeopathy, Modern Science, Pharmacy, etc.
   Students having Master's degree in a relevant
   field can easily apply for doctoral programmes.
   However, the candidate must take the university's
   entrance test as well as the interview.
5. Lastly, the University also provides a variety of
   additional programmes via its associated schools,
   including D.Pharma, DPT, M.Ch, BDS, DMRT, DMLT,
   B.Pharma, and others.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

1. Individuals who want to apply for enrollment to
   the University must meet the eligibility
   requirements of their respective courses.
2. Before applying for any programme, it is
   important that you properly read all of the
   provisions, which are there in the Handbook and
   on the University Website.
3. Then, fill out the Application Form with all of
   the relevant information. Besides, one can find
   the application easily on the university's
   website. University accepts offline admission in
   certain applicable conditions only.
4. Students must submit a registration fee
   (Non-Refundable INR 1200) through NEFT along with
   the application form.
5. Attend the Common Entrance Examination, which is
   held by the University, to get enrollment to the
   relevant programmes.
6. If the Candidate passes the CEE Examination, then
   undertake the additional formalities, such as
   submitting the relevant paperwork.
7. Lastly, pay the admission fee.

SCHOLARSHIPS AT SSUHS
Srimanta Sankaradeva University, which is a
public/government university, gives the
scholarship sum to individuals who earn high
grades in the university, as well as the
well-deserving scholar can scholarship granted by
the university. The State Government also
provides assistance to students who are unable to
pay their tuition due to financial constraints
via a variety of programmes. In most cases, it is

The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health
Sciences (SSUHS), Assam provides an outstanding
educational atmosphere to its learners. Besides,
the university has worked to strengthen the

facilities such as classrooms and libraries, a
faculty building, a research building, an

Canteen Throughout the campus, the institution
had a canteen where students could have
breakfast, lunch, brunch, and even dine out. The
food here is cooked with the greatest care and is
available at a reasonable cost to students. It
also includes a cafe where students may unwind
and laugh about their college experiences. Hostels
There are many possibilities for the best hostel
buildings on campus, one for each gender. Each
hostel has its own mess, administration office,

Laboratories There are about 7 to 8 labs
accessible for different faculties each equipped
with appropriate technology and to meet the
requirements of the students. Gymnasium The
university has also made available a Gymnasium
for use by the students. Within the campus, it

Training Dumbbells, Indoor Rower, Cable
Crossover, Exercise Ball, Barbell Stand, Decline
