• Anand Agricultural University is also a

  campus area is 63 acres. The Governor of Gujarat
  founded the organization. The university

HISTORY
The UGC recognized Anand Agricultural University
as an institute of excellence. Besides, the UGC
accredited the institute for providing excellent
education at undergraduate, postgraduate, and
doctorate levels. Other than that, it also
acknowledges the fact that the institute has
knowledgeable personnel for imparting training
and education. Anand Agricultural University was
previously not an autonomous institute. It was in
effect, a part of Gujarat Agricultural
University. AAU was affiliated with Gujarat
Agricultural University in 1972. It was earlier
named Khetiwadi. Later, Anand Agricultural
University gained its autonomy in 2004. The
institute initiated working under the guidance of
the Governor of Gujarat. Acharya Devrat became
the Chancellor of the institute. Before he
entered politics, he was once a principal in one
of the institutes of Kurushetra, Haryana.

• Hostel Rules and Management
• Students can get into hostels based on their
  merits.
• None of the students is allowed to reside off the
  hostel, especially without the consent of the
  Principal.
• Students can reside in the hostel until their
  courses come to an end. But, they have to vacate
  one week after their course study completion.
• In case students who wish to make a trip have to
  vacate their rooms. Besides, they have to leave
  their personal and allotted rooms open and
  unlocked.
• The university will charge 100 INR for
  electricity wastage.
