4
LIGAMENT INJURIES
  • The ACL allows you to make a twisting, jumping
and pivoting movements all the while stabilising
the knee joint. This ligament is found at the
centre of the joint and it is commonly injured in
active sports like football and basketball. Our
doctors can help manage knee conditions and
injuries such as ACL tears and meniscal tears.
Our doctor's expertise includes cartilage repair
    and knee replacement surgery.

5
FROZEN SHOULDER
  • Adhesive Capsulitis or frozen shoulder mostly
affects the shoulder joint in people over forty
years of age. This is a common joint condition
that can not only limit the mobility of the
shoulder joint but also cause considerable pain.
The aim of treatment is directed at minimizing
the pain and inflammation. This is done through
    medication. Therapeutic exercises are also
started to restore function and mobility of the
    shoulder joint.

6
JOINT REPLACEMENT SURGERY
  • Diseases of the joints such as arthritis can
be severe enough to cause extreme pain and
difficulty in moving the affected joint. In such
cases, joint replacement surgery is advised when
pain medication, injections or arthroscopy fail
to provide relief to the patient. This surgery
also provides improved mobility to the joint so
that the weakened muscles can regain their
strength again and the patient can return to
    his/her daily activities.

7
ANKLE LIGAMENT SURGERY
  • The ankle joint is stabilised by several
ligaments like the Anterior Talofibular Ligament
(ATFL) and the Calcaneofibular Ligaments (CFL).
When these ligaments are injured during sports or
daily activity, they can cause an ankle sprain.
Most of the times an ankle sprain will only need
proper rest of the joint, icing, compression and
elevation to decrease the pain and swelling.

8
Hand ligament surgery
  • Ligaments in your wrist and hand joints help
to keep the bones joined together. These fibrous
bands make sure that the joint is fully
stabilised and mobile for everyday functions. If
the injury is severe, you will be advised to
    undergo a minimally-invasive hand ligament
surgery. This is a reconstruction surgery that
repairs the torn ligaments of the hand.
