Do Astronomers Get Paid Well

• According to the labor statistics bureau, the
  median salary for astronomers in May 2019 was
  114,590, meaning that half of astronomers earned
  more than this and half earned less the AAS
  reports that college faculty members' salaries
  start at around 50,000 and reach 80,000 to
  100,000 for senior faculty.
