Title: What are Protein Powders

1
What are Protein Powders
  • There are plenty of protein powders in Indian
market such as Nutrabay Whey Protein, MuscleBlaze
Whey Protein, ON Gold Whey Protein, Oziva
Plant-Based Protein, etc. With so many protein
powders in the market, selecting the right one
    can be a little confusing.

What are Protein Powders?
  • Protein powders are used by people as a protein
supplement to build muscle and lose weight. They
are made from sources like milk (whey and
casein), plant-based, etc. There are unflavoured
and flavoured options in the market. Things to
look for while selecting the protein supplement
  • Source Select the best protein source for you.
There are a few such as plant-based, dairy, meat,
etc. If you are allergic to soy, you should check
out options from other sources. Similarly if you
have lacrosse intolerance then you should not opt
    for whey protein.
  • Ingredients Some products have artificial
sweeteners, sugars, vegetable fats and oils, etc.
Some brands also add fillers to increase the
weight of the product. Others use milk solids in
their powders. Avoid such ingredients in the
    powders.

  • Flavoured vs. Unflavoured The Indian market is
    filled with flavoured protein powders
    (chocolate, choco fudge, vanilla, strawberry,
etc.) as well as unflavoured protein powders. The
flavoured options contain artificial colors and
flavours and these are known as additives.
