• Festivals in India are so unique. Each of them
  conveys a meaning of their own. Ganesh Chaturthi,
  one of the major festivals of India, reflects a
  divine message. The festival is celebrated as the
  Birthday of Lord Ganesha, the Spiritual Divine
  Son of Goddess Parvati. Ganesh is the God of
  Success according to Hindus.

• At this festival, people make clay idols of
  Ganesha. They worship them with intense devotion
  and joy. People set up pandals at home and in
  community areas. Depending on their interest,
  they set up Ganesha idols of varying sizes.
  During the making of the idols, the creativity of
  the makers comes to the fore. Probably Ganesh
  Chaturthi is the only festival of India that
  allows makers to explore their imagination about
  God.

• Ganesha being the divine and loved son of Maa
  Paravati takes various forms on this festival.
  One can see many attractive and creative forms of
  Ganesh in the pandals. Little Ganesh sitting on
  the lap of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesha playing
  with his brother Subramanya, Ganesha shooting
  arrows like Lord Ram, Ganesha eating butter like
  Krishna, etc.
