HOW TO BECOME A PILOT?
  • The journey to becoming a commercial airline
pilot is long and difficult, not to mention
    costly.
  • Here's how to get a job as a pilot.

8
  • The work begins as soon as you complete your 102
    test.
  • Make sure you have Physics, Mathematics, and
Chemistry as subjects in your 10th and 12th years
of study, and that you get at least a 50 in
    each.
  • To be considered for pilot training, you must be
in good health, have a strong body, be at least
16 years old, speak English fluently, and have
    good vision.
  • To become a student pilot, the next step is to
    enrol in an academy.
  • To be admitted, you must first pass the entrance
    exam and fulfil the requirements.
  • You must be 18 years old to apply for commercial
pilot training, and you must be 23 years old to
qualify for airline transport pilot training.

9
  • While it appears to be easy, there are a few
    things to bear in mind.
  • If you are in India, you must choose a DGCA
    (Directorate General of Civil Aviation,
Government of India) approved academy that
provides commercial and private pilot licence
    training.
  • There are a number of academies that only have
theoretical training and some simulator time, but
no real flight time or aircraft training.
  • The right institute should have a wide range of
aircraft as well as trained instructors who can
provide hands-on instruction. There should be
    flight simulators as well.
