anymore, especially if you are someone who
indulges in heavy workouts. You need to ensure
your gym bag is packed with a bunch of essentials
that you may need to help deal with any
eventuality, be it muscle soreness or damp
clothes. Here are some things you simply
shouldn't head to your gym without.

A change of clothes
Very often, people simply walk home in the same
clothes in which they have worked out. This is
wrong on many levels. While you may feel that
your clothes aren't dirty or smelly, you do tend
to sweat while working out and this can cause a
buildup of germs on your skin. As time passes,
this can lead to irritation and rashes and this
is something you definitely want to avoid.

A disinfectant spray
It is said that any gym equipment contains more
germs than your average toilet seat. This is an
especially scary fact considering the times we
live in. It makes sense to carry a disinfectant
spray along with you. Good gyms should always
sanitize every piece of equipment after each
person uses it but as we all know, such rules are
followed with occasional frequency. It's best to
avoid taking such chances and carry your own
bottle of disinfectant spray or sanitizer spray.

Anti inflammatory gel
  • Muscle aches and soreness are inevitable,
    especially if you indulge in heavy workouts.
    Always carry a tube of ice gel with you. An ice
    gel tube basically makes use of cold therapy to
    simulate the feeling of ice on your skin and
    muscles. It is the best anti inflammatory gel out
    there. It works exactly the way an ice pack does
    without any of the hassles. Make sure you never
    head to the gym without carrying a good ice gel
    along. While many people prefer heat-based
    products, cold-based gels have been proven to
    effectively numb pain and promote faster healing
    of muscles.

A good protein shaker
  • If you need to consume a protein shake for your
    workout routine, make sure you carry along a good
    shaker. That way, you can easily mix your protein
    powder and ensure it gets properly assimilated
    with the water or milk you carry along. On the
    other hand, if you have prepared your protein
    shake at home, the powder often settles to the
    bottom or lumps up, a good shaker will ensure you
    are able to mix it up again. Most shakers come
    with a coil within them that effectively moves
    the liquid around and creates a good
    consistency.
