Title: Advance fertility Treatments
1Advance FertilityTreatments
2 3- Embryo transfer following IVF or ICSI took place
two or three days after egg collection when the
embryo contains around six to eight cells - The word blastocyst refers to the stage that
the human embryo reaches approximately five to
six days after fertilisation. The blastocyst
stage embryo typically has between 50 and 200
cells - Embryos can be cultured for five or six days. By
this stage, the embryos have numerous cells
(approximately 80 100) and start to form two
distinct layers. The embryos are then known as
blastocysts
4- Blastocyst culture media that mimic the changing
environment of the reproductive tract and meet
the unique requirements of the embryo. Culturing
embryos in the laboratory to day five or six
gives the embryos more opportunity to prove their
developmental potential - Some fertilized eggs may even arrest (stop
developing) prior to day 5. This natural
selection enables the embryologist to more
accurately choose the best embryo for transfer
which offers the most likely chance of pregnancy
is 60 using Blastocyst where as 40 on Day 3
embryo transfer - The biggest advantage of the Blastocyst Culture
and Transfer method is that it significantly
reduces the risk of multiple pregnancies and
implantation success rate is higher in this
technique
5 6- LAH a technique to hatch the embryo
- An embryo breaks out of an eggshell called Zona
Pellucida after which the embryo implants itself
on to the uterine wall. In certain cases, the egg
cannot hatch and implant - LAH there is a technique that assists the embryo
to hatch out and implant to the uterine lining
thus increasing the chances of a successful
pregnancy - The procedure essentially involves, making a
small hole in the shell or the outer tough layer
with the help of a laser and this facilitates the
embryo to come out of the zona pellucida. The LAH
procedure is done while the embryos are in the
lab and then implanted into the uterus

10- Ovarian Rejuvenation PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma )
11In Ovarian Rejuvenation PRP is directly injected
into a patient's ovaries with her
own platelet-rich plasma (PRP), infusing
the ovaries with proteins rich in growth factors
and stem-cell chemoattractant

- This treatment can also help women conceive a
pregnancy if they are older or are experiencing
menopause - women with low egg reserves who are experiencing
infertility
12 13Egg freezing, or oocyte cryopreservation, is a
process in which a woman's eggs (oocytes) are
extracted, frozen and stored as a method to
preserve reproductive potential in women of
reproductive age.

17Sperm FREEZING
18Is Advised To
- Sperm freezing is the process of collecting,
analyzing, freezing and storing a man's sperm.
The samples are later used for fertility
treatments or donated to other couples or
individuals, including same-sex female partners.
This overall process is known as cryopreservation
and is sometimes referred to as sperm banking. - According to ART guidelines we can store sperms
up to 10 years.

20FALLOPIAN TUBE CATHETERIZATION
21FALLOPIAN TUBE CATHETERIZATION helps open a
woman's blocked fallopian tubes. This improves
chances of getting pregnant. When sperm meets an
egg in a fallopian tube, the egg is fertilized.
The fallopian tubes carry eggs from ovaries to
uterus (womb).
- INDICATIONS
- History of infertility due to tubal factor
- Tubal block diagnosed by HSG or laparoscopy
22Procedure
- FTC require both Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy
- Laparoscopy is performed by making a small
incision on the abdomen. A long thin
tube(telescope) with an attached camera is passed
into the abdomen. The pelvic and abdominal
organs are visualized. - Hysteroscopy allows a surgeon the inside the
uterine cavity. The tubal ostia(opening of the
fallopian tube into the uterine cavity)is noted.
A fine guidewire is passes into tubal ostia. This
guidewire is carefully used to unforce the tube.
A dye is passed into the fallopian tube to check
where the fallopian tube is patent. This passage
of dye can be observed through the laparoscope.
- Postoperative care
- Day care procedure
- Patient must avoid intercourse until the bleeding
from vagina stops. - Patient should avoid lifting of heavyweights for
6 weeks.

24Surrogacy
- Surrogacy is an arrangement, often supported by a
legal agreement, whereby a woman (the surrogate
mother) agrees to bear a child for another person
or persons, who will become the child's parent(s)
after birth - women who are medically unfit to carry the
pregnancy or go through labor - women who have Medical Problem with the uterus
- Couple who tried multiple assisted reproductive
techniques - Malformation of the womb
- Recurrent Miscarriages
- women who had undergone hysterectomy
(hysterectomy is an operation to remove the
uterus)
