A Cleaning Trick to Remember

  • Sometimes its the simplest and least thought
about cleaning tricks that can be the most
useful, and often we discover them completely at
random. Many of us, when were looking to clean
something that typically doesnt cleaned so
often, such as our rubber soled shoes, we turn to
good old Google for the answers we need, and
sometimes find a whole bunch of valuable tips
that if successful, we quickly set about sharing
    with others.
  • When searching for a way to get white rubber
soled shoes clean again and lets face it, they
do get pretty grubby, fast, and can make the
shoes look old and tired Google suggests that
we use white, non-gel toothpaste, and by
scrubbing a little onto the soles (and white
canvas exterior), wiping it off with a cool, damp
cloth and leaving them to dry in the sun, we can
have our shiny white tennis shoes gleaming like
    new again, who knew!

3
  • But did you know that the same toothpaste is
useful for cleaning so much more than teeth and
tennis shoes? Gentle, cheap, and efficient, it
can work as a polish for many areas and surfaces
around your home. Read on for 4 glowingly
effective ways to use white, gel-free toothpaste
    around the home
  • Get your sink looking too good to do the dishes
    in!
  • Simply add a spot of toothpaste to a sponge (dry
or a little damp, but not wet) and scrub it all
around the interior of your bathroom or kitchen
sink before rinsing it off, to get it smelling
minty fresh, and looking super shiny and clean.

4
  • Buff up your faucets and fixtures
  • All it takes is a dab of toothpaste on a clean
sponge or cloth, to get your chrome sink fixtures
    gleaming again.
  • Prevent your bathroom mirrors from fogging up
  • With a small swipe of toothpaste across the
mirrors in your bathroom, wipe them clean before
you take a shower, and as if by magic, every
mirror will be completely free of fog.

5
  • Eradicate marks from painted walls
  • This tip has brought relief to so many parents
whose kids have scribbled their artwork all
over the walls of their home! Add a bit of
toothpaste to a clean toothbrush and simply scrub
out all the crayon marks, before wiping over with
a damp cloth. Note that you should always carry
out a spot test first, to check that the paint
can hold up to the toothpaste.
  • While toothpaste might be a magic cleaning
solution, some homes need more than magic to get
them clean! If you need help tackling the dust,
dirt and grime in your home, try hiring a
cleaning agency so that you can carry on with
your day, while they get your home clean and
    shipshape again.
