• Tapentadol is used to help relieve moderate to
  severe short-term pain (such as pain from an
  injury or after surgery). It belongs to a group
  of drugs known as opioid (narcotic) analgesics.
  It works in the brain to change how your body
  feels and reacts to the pain.
• Step by step instructions to utilize Nucynta
• Read the treatment Guide offered by
  your pharmacist or doctor before you start taking
  Tapentadol and each time you get a refill. If you
  have any query, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
• Take this medication by mouth as directed by your
  doctor or pharmacist. You may take this drug with
  or without food, if you take this drug without
  food then you will get more benefits. If you
  have nausea, it may help to take this drug with
  food. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about other
  ways to reduce nausea (such as lying down for 1
  to 2 hours with as little head movement as
  possible).
• The dosage is based on your medical situation and
  reacts to the medication. Do not enhance your
  dose or use this drug more often or for longer
  than advised. Properly stop the treatment when so
  directed.
• Pain medications work best if they are used as
  the first signs of pain happen. If you wait until
  the pain has increased, the treatment may not
  work as well.
• Suddenly stopping this treatment may cause
  removal, especially if you have used it for a
  long term or in high doses. To stop withdrawal,
  your doctor may lower your dose slowly. Discuss

  restlessness, mental/mood changes

  of suicide), watering eyes, runny nose,
