5 Reasons to Go Organic
  • 1. Lesser chemicals in your diet
  • The use of pesticides is strictly monitored in
organic farming. While some farmers do use
pesticides, theyre made of natural substances
instead of toxic or synthetic chemicals. Hence,
organic produce contains fewer chemicals than
normal produce which means a cleaner diet for you
    and your body.
  • 2. Cleaner diets
  • Normal packaged food contains high levels of
additives which have a lot of hidden health
risks. On the other hand, organic produce
restricts the use of added preservatives and
    flavour, thus providing healthier, organic
nutrition to the body. Eliminating these
additives are a good idea because their long-term
disadvantages can involve illnesses from diabetes
    to obesity.

  • 3. To avoid GMO
  • Various animal studies link GMOs to organ damage
and immune system problems. While the health risk
of GMOs in humans havent been tested, GMOs dont
really serve any good purpose in the bigger
picture. Organic supplements and produce strictly
prohibit the use of genetically modified
organisms or GMOs which makes it a good reason to
    switch to organic.
  • 4. Better nutrition
  • Organic produce provides better nutrition than
conventional produce because they contain higher
vitamins and minerals. For example, green
smoothies made of organic vegetables are more
likely to have a better nutritional value than
that made of conventional produce. There are many
studies which also show that organic food
contains more healthy fats and antioxidants than
    hormones or chemicals.
  • 5. Climate change mitigation
  • Global emissions from crop and livestock
agriculture is more than 5 billion tonnes C2
equivalent today. Organic farming can help
mitigate climate change by reduction of
greenhouse gas emissions, energy use and carbon
in the atmosphere. Additionally, it can also help
farmers adapt to changing climate conditions so
that they can make their soil more climate
    resilient.
