2
What is Eczema
  • Eczema is a disease in which the skin is usually
dry. It can also be itchy, red, and cracked.
Eczema affects kids mostly but can extend into
    adulthood.

3
What causes Eczema
  • The exact cause of eczema is unknown. A
combination of a gene and the environmental items
that drive it is known to be a combination.
  • The skin, among other things, acts as a barrier.
It prevents moisture and at the same time
protects us from external means. People with
eczema have this altered ability, causing
    dryness, itching, and irritation.
  • There is a strong association between eczema,
asthma, and hay fever/rhinitis. These are
conditions associated with the degree of
hypersensitivity and the excessive response of
the body to external agents. There is also a
    certain association with allergies, although
eczema is not an allergy in itself.

4
What is the
Perspective
  • Eczema varies in severity and areas affected.
People may experience periods of worsening
(seizures) and others with mild symptoms. At the
same time, it can cover only a small area or
begin to spread throughout the body.
  • Eczema cannot be cured, but in most cases, it can
and must be successfully controlled with topical
    creams and treatments.
  • It is important to have good control over
epidemics. If left untreated, the affected skin
changes color and appearance It usually gets
    darker and denser.

5
The Treatment
  • They are sometimes called "softeners". The most
critical part of treating eczema is this. Regular
use is necessary, not only in crisis situations,
and it should be given 2 or 3 times a day, even
with stabilized skin. When the skin is bad, they
should be used several times a day.
  • We are often asked what the best moisturizer is,
and the correct and unanimous answer is the one
    you or your child prefer.
  • Fatty products are usually more effective,
especially in babies or young children, but
sometimes patients do not prefer to use them
because they can make a mess.
  • Moisturizers can be used in the bath instead of
    soap products. Avoid fragrant products.
  • Try applying moisturizers in the direction of
hair growth, instead of rubbing them.
  • Topical corticosteroids (steroids)
