Introduction
  • The time-honored and traditional Bagru Print is
not only prominent among the people of Rajasthan,
but it has also found its way through the
    country.
  • According to legend, the art of Bagru printing
was born when the Chippas settled on the clay of
the Sanjariya River, which is considered to be an
ideal component for hand block printing.
  • The difference is that it contains a mineral that
makes the printed cloth washed in its water, as
well as a mud bank used for the resistance
    printing method called dabu.

3
Facts
  • The block printed by dabu is very different from
traditional Bagru printing with wider lines.
Block printing is a manual process and blocks the
impression of the print is a repeated form that
is expected to be the next block, which
contributes to the natural elegance of the piece.
  • As the world awakens to environmental awareness
and eco-friendliness, this captivating and exotic
art is often forgotten to recognize day by day.
The handprint is, therefore, an environmentally
friendly art that deserves recognition and
recognition, and that best enhances the beauty of
    nature itself.

Facts
...
  • Workers apply the kaali miti paste, a dark sludge
that blocks the printing patterns, and use the
patterns that were previously printed with black
dyes. The blocks used here are covered with
sawdust to ensure that the colors do not run off
the pattern printed on the block when the dye is
later immersed. After the craftsman has dipped
the blocks in the natural dye to produce the
desired print, they are placed on a cloth.
  • The printing process requires a lot of precision,
as you align and measure motifs, distances, and
other subtleties with a skilled hand and an
    experienced eye.

5
Facts
...
  • The wholesale market for Bagru printing materials
is creating more commercial demand means that it
must work with several masters of the bagru
community to ensure that each of them can offer a
unique experience. They want to promote the art
of block printing and to get people excited about
technology, but there is a real business behind
    it.
  • The market is seeing traditional block printing
replaced by screen printing and synthetic inks
replacing traditional natural dyes. Another style
called dabu creates bright, colored motifs with
clay printing and transfers them to a colored
background, using blocks of wood to hide the
print from coloring. This technique, called
"dabu," creates a bright motif with a black
background and white background using mud -
resist the prints. A technique called "Dobu"
creates the bright coloration of a motif on a
dark or blue background by using the mud against
    pressure.

6
Conclusion
  • The rhythm and harmony of the process leading to
a perfect pressure could be similar to that of a
    musician creating something equally perfect.
  • The market is seeing traditional block printing
replaced by screen printing and synthetic inks
    replacing traditional natural dyes.
