  • You must have noticed that in recent times EV
    vehicles sales are up when compared to previous
    years. Manufacturers are offering different EV
    models be it sports cars or sedans. Prices of EV
    Vehicles are also decreasing when compared to
    previous years. Not only is this due to
    increased EV Charging stations across US, people
    are opting out for Electric Vehicles than
    traditional fuel vehicles. Lets have a look at
    various factors which compel people to opt for EV
    Vehicles

  • Its evident that EV vehicles are cheaper to
    traditional fuel vehicles. As per the recent data
    for driving 100 miles on electric vehicles will
    cost you 3.45 whereas if you will cover the same
    distance on gasoline powered vehicle it will cost
    you 13.52. If you will compare the average
    savings for a lifetime of EV Powered vehicle to
    Gasoline powered vehicle you can save up to 13k.

    will find that gasoline prices are more volatile
    than electricity prices. Gasoline prices trend
    will show you all things i.e. they rise, drop,
    sudden spike, and then they dip and rise again.

    prices within US you will find that the average
    national price of electricity over the past
    decade is almost static. So, this is one of the
    biggest factor to opt for EV vehicles with lots
    of saving.

  • Electric Vehicle technology is much more advanced
    that the traditional vehicle technology, but it
    involves less moving parts than the traditional
    vehicles, as a result it requires less
    maintenance than traditional vehicle powered by
    gasoline. So, this will again save a maintenance
    cost for people.

  • As per a study Institute for Automotive Research
    (IFA) Nürtingen-Geislingen University in southern
    Germany that over 8 years, with a relatively low
    yearly mileage of 5k miles/year, a traditional
    car powered by gasoline would cost 4,770 in
    maintenance, whereas electric vehicle would cost
    only 3071 per year.

  • Electric Vehicles are directly up zippy, which
    means an Electric Vehicles Engine creates instant
    torque (or turning power) whereas internal
    combustion engine has a curve of torque which
    increases with the engines RPM (Revolutions per
    Minute) . This means that electric vehicles
    starts off quicker than any other traditional
    vehicle powered by gasoline.

EV VEHICLES HAVE FEWER EMISSIONS
  • The calculations of emissions for Electric
    vehicles include both Power plant emissions and
    emissions from the coal, natural gas, and other
    traditional fuels used in various power plants
    across the country. After looking at the stats
    provided by Argonne National Laboratory and US
    EPA in Jan 2020, its clear that an average
    Electric Vehicle is emitting less Global Warming
    Emissions when compared to a new average
    traditional fuel vehicle in the entire US.
    Moreover, in some parts around the US Electric
    Vehicles produce 7 times lower Global Warming
    Emissions when compared to traditionally powered
    fuel vehicles.

  • The average Electric Vehicle is far much cleaner
    when compared to the average new fuel car
    anywhere in the USA. However, if you will go for
    the most efficient Electric Vehicle then your
    global warming emissions will be much lower than
    a traditional vehicle powered by gasoline. For
    example, if you are driving a Tesla Model 3
    Standard Range Plus 2020, then you will have
    emissions less than a fifth of the global warming
    emissions when compared to a new gasoline car.
