FIT TO FLY LETTER WITH COVID-19 PCR SWAB TEST
At Regent Street Clinic we offer a PCR swab
test. This test is for current COVID-19 infection
and traces the presence of COVID-19 virus
antigen. Some Airlines have made it mandatory to
have a statement signed by a medical professional
and we have been offering this service since June
2020.

After the consultation upon getting your
COVID-19 test result from the lab, the GP/nurse
will then declare you are fit to fly. The doctor
then writes the letter, officially stamping and
signing it. You may also want to get tested for
your own peace of mind pre-travel so that you
know you have done everything in your control to
avoid infecting others on your journey.

PCR Swab Test Duration
At our clinic taking a sample of a PCR swab just
takes a few minutes then the sample is sent to
our private laboratory for testing. Results
usually come back within two working days and a
letter can be posted or e-mailed as per your
preference.

When should I book my appointment?
The tests need to be processed at least 2-3 days
before the flight departure. Although we have
calculated the process to complete within two
working days, we advise you to book your
appointment as advance as possible to book your
slot.

is no guarantee of turnaround or fulfillment as

time. The lab which we use is one of the best
largest in the UK, hence sudden changing pandemic
situation drives the high volumes of requests and
therefore results can be occasionally delayed.

Do I require a Fit to Fly Letter with COVID-19
testing?

airline. It is also a good idea to look for
travel advisory by the government about your
destination country.
