If you think emoji and emoticon are the same
things then you are wrong. Let's discuss the
difference between emoji and emoticons. What Are
Emoji? Emoji is a small image that can be easily
inserted into a text that shows an expression or
idea. They are mostly used in text messages and
emails. They are found in almost every type of
electronic communication. Emoji were first used
in cell phone communication in Japan back in

What Are Emoticons? Now lets ponder some view
upon what emoticon means. An emoticon in simple
words is a representation of common facial
expressions of humans. They are made with the use
of keyboard characters like alphabets, numbers
and punctuation marks. Emoticons became popular
in the late 1990s with the arrival of texting and
emails. The word emoticon is a combination of
two words emotions and icon. As we said earlier,
emoticon was build from keyboard characters and
is put together in a way to represent a facial
expression. And an emoji itself is an actual
image.

vehicle, sport, and animals. The introduction of
new emojis is non-stop and will be never-ending.
Emoji are now available in several colors and
shapes. Even one single emoji is available in
four to five different shades and tints. For a
fact, Oxford Dictionaries even named the Face
with tears of joy emoji the word of the year.
The basic 12x12 pixel emoji grew in popularity
across various platforms rapidly. Emoji was the
main reason for the invention of smartphones.

Examples Of Emoticons Western countries usually
use emoticons at the right angle of the direction
of the text. For example, -) is the commonly

Kao meaning face and moji meaning

lenny face emoticons to express emotions in the
form of text. Here is an example of the most
common lenny face ( ? ?? ?) If you feel like
