• Audrey Hepburn was a legend in her life with
  such iconic films as Roman Holiday, Breakfast at
  Tiffanys, My Fair Lady, and many more. She was
  one of the most beloved stars in the history of
  films. She had always been the queen of fashion
  and some of the replicas of her dresses and
  accessories even today refuse to go out of
  fashion.

• On September 27, 2017, Christies King Street
  headquarters presented a flagship auction
  (alongside an online auction from September 19 to
  October 3) of the personal Audrey Hepburn
  collection that is still a talking point today.
  It was an extraordinary archive recording the
  life and career of one of the most famous
  actresses of the 20th century. The auction of
  these personal items had remained in the
  possession of Audrey Hepburns family and was the
  first time that they were offered for sale.

• The auction included Audrey Hepburns
  extensive personal wardrobe and copies of the
  script of her most loved movie Breakfast at
  Tiffanys. It also had original portraits by
  famous photographers, most of which were from the
  period 1953 to 1968 when she was at the height of
  her film career. This collection of memorabilia
  and letters from the personal Audrey Hepburn
  collection offered a delightful insight into the
  actresss life and times.

Here are some of the stunning pieces put up for
sale at the auction.

• Three pairs of leather ballet pumps from 1960
  One pair was burgundy trimmed with red ribbon,
  one pair in daffodil yellow with yellow ribbons,
  and one Emerald green with a bow. The pre-sale
  estimate for this combo was 6,000-9,000. During
  her early childhood traveling between Belgium,
  England, and the Netherlands, she performed
  ballet and was a chorus girl in Londons West End
  before moving to the USA to star on Broadway in
  Gigi in 1951. Her ballet pumps on sale were from
  that era.
• A blue satin Givenchy cocktail dress The dress
  was worn by Audrey Hepburn in a photoshoot with
  William Klein for a fashion editorial promoting
  her film Two for the Road released in 1966.
  Hubert de Givenchy the celebrated designer and
  the actress were close friends and had worked
  together in many films. This dress was trimmed
  with blue satin fringes and epitomized a
  deceptively simple style. The pre-sale estimate
  from this personal Audrey Hepburn collection was
  10,000-15,000 but sold for a much higher figure.
  Incidentally, in December 2006, the famous black
  dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at
  Tiffanys also designed by Givenchy sold at
  Christies for a mind-boggling 456,200 though
  its pre-sale estimate was 50,000-70,000.

• Personal annotated film scripts Scripts from
  Hepburns hit films Breakfast at
  Tiffanys (estimate 60,000-80,000)
  and Charade (estimate 15,000-25,000) which had
  Audrey Hepburns notes in turquoise blue ink in
  margins on the left hand of the pages.
