Title: Seychelles legends - Coral Strand Hotel
1 Seychelles legends Coral Strand Hotel
Seychelles is not only one of the most popular
beach destinations, but also a country with a
rich culture associated with many amazing
legends. In our presentation we will introduce
you to the brightest and most interesting!
2 The Lost Garden of Eden Walking just a few
steps through the Valle de Mae you will immerse
yourself in a bright green magical world. Nowhere
is there a trace of human presence, except a
trodden path, which is hidden in the thickets of
plants. Here, in the ancient palm jungle, it
seemed that there is no other such place anywhere
in the world. Isn't this the lost legendary
garden of Eden!
3The Last King of France In the local cemetery
rest the remains of a certain Pierre-Louis Poiret
strangely appeared on the Seychelles in 1804.
Dying in 1856, he revealed that he was the
Dauphin, the son of the executed Louis XVI. There
is no scientific evidence for this, but the
Seychelles are clearly pleased to think that
their islands were the last refuge of Louis XVII,
the true last king of France.
4Treasures of pirates At the beginning of the
18th century, when the islands were still
uninhabited, the French pirate Olivier Levasser,
better known as La Buse, repeatedly went to the
archipelago and as if it was here stashed the
looted treasures. The most valuable among them is
the golden cross of the Archbishop of Goa,
encrusted with diamonds, which at Sotheby's was
valued in absentia at millions of pounds. All the
locals are convinced that the looted La Buse good
is deeply buried in the sand on one of the famous
Seychelles beaches.
5Place of wish fulfillment In the center of
Victoria - the capital of Seychelles - installed
a small copy of the famous Big Ben, the original
of which is located in England. According to
legends, if at noon to make a wish, standing in
front of a small copy of the famous clock, it
will surely come true.
