BEN NEVIS.
- Ben Nevis (Scotlands highest peak) is
the highest of all three peaks, and of the
British Isles. The majestic ancient volcano
reaches a staggering 4413ft with 5,000 people
attempting the 1352m ascent annually (usually
taking them between 6 and 8 hours on average).
There are two main routes up Ben Nevis The
Mountain Track, and the Carn Mor Dearg ArĂȘte
which offers a challenge to experienced hikers.
At its summit, youll enjoy spectacular views of
Scottish landscape shaped by glaciers over
millennia as well as beautiful flora and fauna
along the way.

SCAFELL PIKE.
- Originally known as The Pikes of Sca
Fell, Scafell Pike is the highest mountain in
England. Located in the picturesque Lake District
National Park, Cumbria it stands at 3210 ft above
sea level. Scafell Pike has inspired authors and
artists for centuries thanks to its striking
rocky formation and stunning views. On average it
takes 5 hours to hike the 6-mile route with a
906m ascent. The mountain is also home to the
Broad Crag Tarn, the highest body of water in
England.

SNOWDON.
- The highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon
or Yr Wyddfa which translates to The Great
Tomb reaches 1085m. With routes of varying
difficulty to its peak, it takes around 6 to 8
hours to reach it, and around 350,000 people make
the ascent of 723m annually. Its 5-million-year
history has distinctively characterised the
mountain with many volcanic rock formations and
at its summit, there are uninterrupted vistas of
Snowdonia National Park.

the 3 Peaks Challenge at 11 hours 54 minutes. - On average, it takes 13 hours in total to climb

- There are many things to consider
before deciding to take on the National Three
Peaks Challenge. Follow the 10 tips below to
ensure that youre fully prepared.
- Have a designated driver and plan your route in
detail beforehand. - Consider your environmental impact and be
respectful of local communities. - Train in advance by undergoing regular
cardiovascular exercises such as running and
walking to build stamina. - Pack a large selection of protein-rich snacks to
stay energised! Nuts, fruit and cereal bars are
best.

- Bring plenty of water with you to stay hydrated.
- Bring clothing to suit all types of weather the
UK climate is very unpredictable! - Make sure your boots are high quality (breathable
and waterproof are top qualities to look out
for). Make sure you wear them in (dont wear them
for the first time on the day of the challenge). - Bring multiple pairs of thick walking socks to
avoid blisters from occurring during the
challenge. - Have the essential equipment prepared in advance
of the challenge. - Practice your navigation skills and mark your
planned route on a map to take with you.
