  • The Scottish Rite is amongst the popular
    systems of higher degrees. According to sources,
    more than one million masons are working in the
    Scottish rite and half million are working in the
    Royal Arch.

  • The Scottish Rite was originated in the
    18th century in France that includes the rituals
    of Anglo-Saxons Freemasonry. The Scottish Rite
    is the appendant body that offers 29 degrees in
    addition to the four degrees. The 29 degrees
    offered by Scottish rite are not higher than the
    third degree of conferred in the blue lodge the
    33rd degree is awarded to the members who have
    performed outstanding services in the Scottish
    Rite.

  • The 33 degrees of Scottish rites are
    conferred by several controlling bodies. The
    first of this is the laws that confirm the
    entered apprentice, fellow craft and master
    mason degrees. The attainment of third-degree
    represents the achievement of the highest rank of
    Freemasonry.

  • The ancient Scottish rite Organisation in
    each country is governed by the Supreme Council.
    The Supreme Council consists of 66 members who
    are elected to the membership On the Council that
    has designed active, all the recipients of 33rd
    degree in the Northern jurisdiction are the
    members of the Supreme Council.

  • These members are also referred to as
    Sovereign Grand Inspectors General. The
    highest ranking Scottish rite officer is titled
    Deputy. Each Deputy has one or more actives to

    a black and white apron with the letter Z and

    are fidelity, obedience, and secrecy.

    foundation of Masonic honors. The masons are
    given white and green aprons with a cubic stone
    and YOD.

    red apron and YOD HEH letters in the center, the

    masons of 7th degree are honored with a white
    apron that is edged with red rosettes.

    for perfection by using the principles of
    kindness and charity. The apron in white and red
    is worn by the mason who attained the 8th degree.

  • 9th Degree - Elu of Nine
  •  
  • Truth, generosity, and candor are the
    three virtues at the very heart of this degree.
    With apron worn by the 9th-degree Master Mason is
    white with black line and sprinkled with blood.

  • 10th degree - Elu of the fifteenth

  • The Mason is taught how to be tolerant and
    has right to his own spiritual views. The white
    apron with a black flap and 3-arch-shaped gates
    is worn by the master mason who has achieved this
    degree.

  •  
  • This is one of the important degrees of
    Scottish Rite Freemasonry. The candidate is
    taught sympathy towards all the humans. The
    candidates are given white aprons lined with a
    black and flaming heart in the center.

    faith and belief in God. The apron is white and
    lined with blue. It has a gold jewel that
    symbolizes craft degree.

    purple apron bordered with white and a hexagram
    inscribed in the center is given to the masons.

    true to God. The apron worn by 14th-degree mason
    is made up of white silk and is bordered in gold.
    The jewel is quadrant that is topped by a crown
    and blazing star.
  • The degrees of Rose Croix

  • The degrees from 15th to 18th are very
    complex, as they attempt to invest the candidate
    with a deeper understanding of religion and
    philosophy. There are many challenges presented
    in these degrees and it can take years to master
    the degrees.

  • 15th degree - the night of east or the eagle

  • In this degree, the Mason learns fidelity
    to perseverance under discouragement and
    difficulties. The apron of the 15th degree is
    made of crimson velvet and is edged with green
    lace. The jewel has two crossed swords inside
    them with three concentric golden triangles.

  • 16th degree - Prince of Jerusalem

  • This degree teaches the nobility of
    self-sacrifice long with brotherhood and
    fidelity. The apron is edged in gold with a
    square shield and a hand of justice.

    allegiance of humans. These lessons are taught in
    the 17th degree. The apron of 17th degree is
    yellow satin with gold and crimson. The jewel is
    heptagon in silver and gold and is crossed with
    swords on a balance.

    in the council of Kadosh. The complexity of these
    degrees can be exemplified by the number of pages
    that are attributed to them.

  • 19th degree - Grand Pontiff

  • The 19th degree includes the lessons that
    are learned from the past and how it affects the
    present life. One should always strive to improve
    the world.

    apron of this degree mason is yellow with a blue

    temporal and spiritual.

  • This degree teaches self-examination,
    which means the individual should not repeat the
    mistakes he has committed in the past.

    genuine brotherhood needs a mutual opinion,
    charity, and regard. The apron is white and lined
    in black. The jewel is a gold Teutonic cross with
    a black eagle at the center.

    conferred by the supreme council upon the members
    of the Rite in recognition of outstanding work.

  • The Grand Cross of the court of honor is
    the highest degree bestowed by the supreme
    council. The 33rd-degree masons with exceptional
    services are voted for this honor.The 33rd-degree
    masons wear Grand Cross cap in white with a blue
    band.
