What Is Anthropology?
The term Anthropology derived from a Greek word
(?????p?? anthropos) which means understanding of
mankind or human being. So, Anthropology is the
study of former to current human and human
behavior.

Sub Divisions Of Anthropology

• Anthropology is divided in 4 terms and these are
• Sociocultural Anthropology
• Biological/Physical Anthropology
• Archaeological Anthropology
• Linguistics Anthropology

Sociocultural Anthropology
It simply means to examine the social pattern and
all cultural things they do in their time period
as how they handle, govern all the things. In
more easy term sociocultural anthropology is
study from hunter-gatherer societies to the
habits of shopping mall visitors.

Physical Anthropology
Physical/Biological Anthropology is understanding
of human disease, diet, genetics and lifestyle of
human remains. Another useful fact of this term
is to focus on helping authorities solve crimes
and identify human remains found at crime and
disaster scenes.

Archaeological Anthropology
It is the study of investigating humanity through
the materials/stuff they leave behind.

Linguistic Anthropology
The American Anthropological Association states
that it is the comparative study of ways in
which language reflects and influences social
life. Linguistic anthropologists can be found
analyzing languages, both verbal and non-verbal,
around the world.
